What motor are you running now? The LS1 will be nice in the 3rdgen (shut up Tim) but I am going to stick with the LT1 on the jug in mine. I am a fan of having a car thats runs god that isn't suppose to. hahaha

Honestly I wouldnt bother with an LS1, find yourself a junk yard Iron 6.0 and build a cheap 70mm turbo setup. It would cost about the same or a little more than the LS1/LS6 setup and you will be making easily 100 more hp and have a better starting point.

Right now im running a 355 with the t5. Gotta question for you guys....Would the t56 retro fit bolt up to a LS block? I keep losing 5th gear and I seriously cant afford to keep dumping money into this tranny.

Not sure what you are referring to with the retro fit? The T56 bell housing for a LT1 is different than the LS1.

I wouldn't spend anymore money on the T5 either go with the T56

I belive that is for replacing the 5 speed with a 6 speed in 82-92 camaros. Which means, that will not bolt up to a LS1.
